Crab Cheese Ball
1 package (8 oz/227 g) reduced-calorie cream cheese, softened 2 tbsp/30 mL Watkins Crab Snack and Dip Seasoning 1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Minced Green Onion 1 can (6 oz/170 g) crabmeat, drained, rinsed and drained again Watkins Omelet and Soufflé Seasoning
Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy. Stir in Crab Dip Seasoning, Minced Green Onion and crab; mix well. Roll into a ball, then roll ball in Omelet and Soufflé Seasoning. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate several hours to allow flavors to infuse.
Salsa & Sour Cream Bundles
1 cup/250 mL sour cream 3 tbsp/45 mL Watkins Salsa & Sour Cream Snack & Dip Seasoning 16 slices bread (white or pumpernickel) 16 slices center cut bacon (not thick cut) 1/4 cup/60 mL sliced green onion 1/4 cup/60 mL diced red and green bell peppers
Mix sour cream and Snack & Dip Seasoning and refrigerate at least one hour to enhance flavor. Trim crust off of bread, keeping the bread a square shape. Combine onions and peppers with dip mixture and spread on bread. Bring together two opposite corners of the bread and wrap bacon around middle, securing the bundle with a toothpick. Bake at 425°F/220°C for 6 to 8 minutes or until bread is toasted and bacon begins to crisp.

5 lbs/2.27 kg pork loin back ribs 2 cups/500 mL water 1/2 cup/125 mL apple cider vinegar
1 - 1/2 tsp/7.5 mL Garlic Granules 1 - 1/2 tsp/7.5 mL Seasoning Salt 1/3 cup/80 mL Original BBQ Sauce
Root Beer Barbecue Sauce: 2/3 cup/160 mL Original BBQ Sauce 2 tsp/10 mL Root Beer Extract—Trial Mark Bottle 1/2 tsp/2.5 mL Ginger 1/4 tsp/1.2 mL Allspice
Cooking Directions
Preheat oven to 350F/180C. Place ribs in large, shallow roasting pan, bone side down. Combine water and vinegar, pour over ribs. Sprinkle with garlic granules and seasoning salt. Cover and bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until ribs are tender. Let cool. (Ribs can be covered and chilled at this point if you wish to make them ahead.) Place ribs on grill over indirect heat or bake at 350F/180C for 30 to 35 minutes or until warm and tender. Brush the ribs with Watkins Root Beer Barbecue Sauce.

Homemade Root Beer/Float
Ingredients
Start by making a concentrated root beer syrup:
1-3/4 cups/425 mL sugar 2-1/4 cups/560 mL water 2 tbsp/30 mL Root Beer Extract—Trial Mark Bottle
Cooking Directions
Root Beer Syrup: Combine sugar and water in small saucepan; heat and stir until mixture starts to boil. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature; add Root Beer Flavor and mix thoroughly. Place in well-sealed container and keep in refrigerator.
Root Beer: Place 1/3 cup/80 mL of the syrup into a glass. Add 5 fl. oz./150 mL of club soda or sparkling water. Fill glass with ice. Enjoy!
Note: This makes a light colored root beer. If desired, you can add liquid caramel color if available in your area.
Root Beer Float: Float a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a mug of root beer.
And now for the Beans to go with the Ribs:
Root Beer Baked Beans
Ingredients
1/2 lb/225 g bacon, diced 1 medium onion, diced
2 tbsp/30 mL Original BBQ Sauce 1/4 cup/60 mL ketchup 2 (28 oz/798 g) cans baked beans 1/4 tsp/1.2 mL Root Beer Extract—Trial Mark Bottle 1/2 tsp/2.5 mL prepared mustard 2 tbsp/30 mL brown sugar Dash Black Pepper 6 oz to taste
Cooking Directions
Cook bacon and onion in skillet until bacon is brown and crisp. Pour off drippings. Combine barbecue sauce concentrate and ketchup; add to skillet. Mix in remaining ingredients. Bake at 300°F/150°C for 1 hour. Makes 12 servings.

When talking to a prospective associate, I get this question alot; "Do I have to sell? I'm not good at selling—and isn't that what Watkins is all about? "
What they are usually trying to ask in most cases is, "Can I join Watkins and have a successful, income-producing business without retailing products?" And, the answer is...
Yes, you can have a very successful and extremely profitable Watkins business without approaching retail customers! You do not have to focus on selling products. Nor do any of your team members.
Now you may be saying at this point, "Wait a minute. Shouldn't all Watkins associates be looking for customers and selling products? After all, aren't we in the Direct SELLING industry?"
It is true that we are in the Direct Selling industry. But that's only part of the picture with Watkins. The whole picture is that Watkins is a company in the Direct Selling and Network Marketing industries.
The Network Marketing side of this business is often overlooked, but it's actually the more powerful of the two. As an independent Watkins associate, you have the potential to earn far more income by focusing on Network Marketing than on Direct Selling. In fact, EVERY SINGLE ONE of the top earners in Watkins focus their energy on Network Marketing, NOT Direct Selling.
I can explain how Network Marketing can theoretically allow you to build a team of associates that generates bonus income without anyone retailing products. In reality, however, there are bound to be some team members who enjoy retailing, and there are bound to be individuals who ask to order products as customers from you. So, your business will always be somewhat of a blend between Network Marketing and Direct Selling.
Still, the important point (that you may not have considered before) is that you CAN have a succesful Watkins business WITHOUT focusing on retailing yourself, and WITHOUT searching for people who want to "sell Watkins." And, in fact, your team could likely grow much faster by NOT focusing on retailing.
Why isn't everyone doing it?
Now you may be asking, "If the Network Marketing side of Watkins is so powerful, why aren't all associates doing it?" There are two main reasons:
Some associates enjoy retailing products.
Most associates don't understand the power of Network Marketing.
Let's delve into that second reason. You see, it's easy for new associates to understand how a Direct Selling business works, so most latch onto that aspect of Watkins. But very few are familiar with how a successful Network Marketing business works.
For example, virtually all new associates have known someone who sold Avon products by sharing catalogs with friends and co-workers. They're familiar with the way Tupperware distributors sell products through parties. They've seen associates of other companies selling products through booths at craft shows and trade fairs. Because of these past interactions, new Watkins associates can easily understand the "selling" side of Watkins.
But, how many new Watkins associates have previously been around someone who has built a successful Network Marketing business? Very few. So, new associates find it harder to grasp the the Network Marketing side of Watkins.
How does Network Marketing work?
Next, let's outline how Network Marketing works, in case you haven't had a chance to learn about it before. Network Marketing is based on a simple concept: A lot of people each doing a little can be more productive than one person doing a lot.
Here's an example of what that really means: Let's say you establish a group of people who have each joined Watkins as associates. But their only reason for joining is to buy products for their own family at the associate's discount, and they never sell to anyone else. That might not seem very productive. But, guess what? It doesn't take many people doing that before your group can be using many more Watkins products than the amount being sold by any one of the top retailers in Watkins.
So, in a way, there's a "selling" side and a "buying" side to Watkins. The selling side comes from Direct Selling, in which associates retail products to customers. The buying side comes from Network Marketing, in which associates buy products for their own use. Certainly, it's possible to blend both sides; but, ask yourself, in general, would you rather be in a "selling" business (with you doing all the work of making sales to customers) or in a "buying" business (with your team of associates simply buying products for their own use)?
A Real-World Example
Remember how we said that most associates can relate to Direct Selling because they're familiar with companies like Avon and Tupperware? Well, let's give you a similar example that relates to Network Marketing.
What if a company opened large warehouses around the country, where you could buy things for significantly less than at other stores? And let's say that for the privilege of shopping there, they charged an annual fee of $45. It would still be a great value, because your savings on purchases could more than cover that membership fee in just a few visits.
Well, one such company has opened 473 warehouses and has gotten 46 million people to buy memberships and spend 52 billion dollars in their stores! Yes, you know them as Costco and millions have paid $45 to join just to be able to buy wholesale.
Now, let's compare Costco to Watkins. For a $39.95 starter kit, you can buy all the Watkins products at a discount of 25% or more. The two companies have a very similar concept: Pay a membership fee to join; buy products at a wholesale discount.
But here's where Costco falls short: If you tell your friends about Costco, and your friends each buy a membership, does Costco send you a bonus check for 5% to 10% of whatever your friends buy at Costco? Of course not. But Watkins does! Not only that, but when your friends tell others about Watkins, your friends can earn a bonus, and you can, too!
The foundational concept of Network Marketing is about people helping other people learn how to buy excellent products at a wholesale discount.It's not about selling.
Now, of course, any associate who is using Network Marketing techniques to sponsor new team members will regularly run across some people who want to join Watkins to sell products, and that's fine (you'd certainly want to help them join your team because it would generate additional sales volume). But, you don't have to focus on finding people who want to sell. You can confidently tell prospects that they can be successful in Watkins WITHOUT selling.

Active Ingredient Camphor 3.5% w/w: Occurs in nature in the camphor tree, an Asian evergreen related to cinnamon. When applied to the skin, camphor produces a mild local anesthetic action (depresses some nerve endings and stimulates others). It also acts as an antipruritic, which means relieves itching.
Also Contains Capsicum (red pepper): A raw material that produces a warming effect on the skin; at higher levels, a burning sensation. The burning could become unpleasant if rubbed vigorously; therefore, we recommend that this product be patted on rather than rubbed in.

Oregano & Cumin Pasta Recipe
1 pound/450 g whole wheat penne pasta 1/4 cup/60 mL Watkins Garlic & Parsley Grapeseed Oil 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced 2 cups/500 mL cherry tomatoes, halved 1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Organic Oregano 1 tsp/5mL Watkins Organic Cumin 1/4 tsp/1.2 mL Watkins Red Pepper Flakes 1/2 tsp/2.5 mL Watkins Sea Salt, ground 1/4 tsp/1.2 mL Watkins Organic Black Pepper 1/4 cup/60 mL pitted kalamata olives 1 tbsp/15 mL Watkins Organic Parsley 1/4 cup/60 mL grated parmesan cheese
Bring a large pot of salted water to rolling boil, add penne and cook until al dente or according to package instructions. Drain. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat Grapeseed Oil over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and cook until golden, about one minute. Add cherry tomatoes, oregano, cumin, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally until tomato juices run, about three minutes.
Add penne, olives and parsley to skillet and toss to combine. Serve with grated parmesan.

Spicy Mexican Dip
3 tbsp/45 mL Watkins Mexican Soup and Seasoning Base 1 cup/250 mL sour cream
Add Watkins Mexican Soup and Seasoning Base to sour cream. Chill for at least 1 hour and serve with tortilla chips or other snacks.
Taco Seasoning
1 lb/450 g lean ground beef or turkey 1/3 cup/80 mL Watkins Mexican Soup and Seasoning Base 3/4 cup/180 mL water
Brown meat in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain Fat. Stir in seasoning mix and water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Use for tacos, burritos, enchiladas and other Mexican dishes.
Watkins Chicken Tortilla Soup
2 cups/500 mL cooked chicken, cubed or shredded 6 cups/1500 mL water 3/4 cup/180 mL Watkins Mexican Soup and Seasoning Base 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained 1 can beans - kidney, pinto or black 1 can corn, drained Tortilla Chips
Bring water to a boil and add Mexican soup base. Reduce heat. Add diced tomatoes, beans and corn. Simmer for 15 minutes. Laddle into bowls and top with crushed tortilla chips.

1-1/2 cups/375 mL water 1/2 cup/125 mL Watkins Meat Magic 2 tbsp/30 mL Watkins Beef Soup Base 2 tbsp/30 mL Watkins Onion Soup Base 1 tbsp/15 mL Watkins Onion Flakes
Combine all ingredients and simmer gently the last 30 minutes while roast is cooking.
Savory Turkey Burgers
1 lb/454 g ground turkey 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs 2 tsp/10 mL Watkins Meat Magic 2 tsp/10 mL Watkins Onion Flakes 1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Poultry Seasoning 1/2 tsp/2.5 mL Watkins Onion & Garlic Pepper 4 whole wheat buns Lettuce leaves Tomatoe slices
Combine all ingredients; mix well. Shape into 4 patties. Grill or Broil 4 to 6 inches/10 to 15 cm from heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until no longer pink, turning once. Place lettuce leaf and tomatoe slice on bottom halves of buns; top with turkey burgers and top halves of buns. Try our excellent Watkins Steak Sauce as a condidment.
Ingredients 1 1/2 tbsp/22.5 mL Watkins Fajita Seasoning 1 tbsp/15 mL Watkins Onion & GarlicPepper 1 2/2 tbsp/22.5 mL Watkins Cilantro 6 tbsp/90 mL Watkins Garlic & Parsley Grapeseed Oil 1/4 cup/60 mL Lemon Juice 2 tbsp/30 mL Parmesan Cheese 2 pounds large uncoooked Shrimp
Directions Whisk first four ingredients into a large bowl to make a wonderful "Watkins Marinade". Chill the marinade for about 2 hours. Add shrimp and let stand for 10 minutes. Remove shrimp from marinade and reserve the liquid. Grill the shrimp until pink; about 2 minutes per side. Bring the reserved marinade liquid to a boil. Remove from heat and drizzle over shrimp. Sprinkle (or garnish) with Cilantro and Cheese.

Ingredients 1 large tomato, diced 1 red bell pepper, diced 1 green bell pepper, diced 1/3 cup/80 mL red onion, finely chopped 1 small bunch scallions, chopped 1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Cumin 1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Garlic Flakes 1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Jalapeño Hot Pepper Sauce 1 tbsp/15 mL Watkins Cilantro 1 tbsp/15 mL Watkins Citrus Cilantro Grapeseed Oil 1 (16 oz/454 g) can black beans, drained and rinsed Freshly-ground Watkins Sea Salt to taste Juice of half a lime (optional)
Directions Combine all ingredients; refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Ingredients
2 cups/500 mL all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp/7.5 mL baking soda
1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Purest Ground Cinnamon 6 oz. 1/2 tsp/2.5 mL Watkins Organic Nutmeg 1/2 tsp/2.5 mL salt
1 1/2 cups/375 mL sugar
12 tbsp/180 mL butter (1 ½ sticks), softened
1 egg
1/2 tsp/2.5 mL Watkins Original Double-Strength Vanilla 1/4 cup/60 mL molasses
Cooking Directions
Preheat oven to 350F/180C. In a medium bowl whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. In a shallow bowl set aside 1/2 cup/125 mL sugar.
With an electric mixer beat butter, remaining sugar, egg, vanilla, and molasses until well blended. Combine with dry ingredients until dough forms. Roll dough into 1 inch/2.5 cm balls and dip in 1/2 cup/125 mL reserved sugar.
Arrange on a baking sheet, about 3-inches/7.5-cm apart. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.

Many people buy their vanilla from Mexico because they think it is a more superior product. Due to a falling vanilla market, Mexico, Central American and the Caribbean began selling a synthetic vanilla containing coumarin (a known carcinogen to the liver banned in the US since the 1950s) to boost the flavor equivalent to pure vanilla. You probably will not find coumarin as an ingredient listed on the label either as Mexico does not enforce their label laws as we do in the US. Therefore, you cannot be sure of what you are buying.
